April 22! New Dojo! Spring Picnic! Spotlight Week!

Dear Team,Wow! What an exciting week! The new dojo is looking great! Watch for specifics Monday!Don’t forget our Spring Picnic this Saturday at Garrett Parkin Robertsdale. Not far behind the Robertsdale dojo. Click Garrett Park for a map. Sign up sheets are at the dojo or online here! Bring your Baseball Gear and Water guns to have fun. This is a rain or shine event! 
See you there!The next two weeks will be Spotlight Week. We will have our first Belt Promotion in the new dojo on Thursday, May 6 at 7:00 pm. In the next couple of days I will send those who are eligible to be spotlighted a Belt Promotion Form via email or regular mail or in person. Be practicing and remember that attention to details, stances, tight fists, good form are very important! Prepare for Victory!!!
Exciting Week at SCS! (March 24 through March 29)

This week is Peak Week! Students that are eligible for a new rank should be shining brightly with their attitudes and their performance in class! Don’t forget…practice, practice, practice!
“Does practice make perfect? No! Perfect practice makes perfect!”
Friday night is our Belt Promotion Ceremony! The demo team will be practicing at 5:00 - 6:30 and will be performing at both ceremonies.
The Li’l Champions and Juniors will be at 7:00. The Adults will be at 8:15!
Saturday is our in house Spring Tournament! We’re looking forward to everyone being involved!
The schedule for the Spring Tournament is as follows and is subject to change! Don’t forget to invite a friend to come watch! Spectators 7 and over are $2.00. The proceeds will benefit the SCS Scholarship Fund which helps dedicated and motivated students and their families through financial crisis so that they can continue to train and have stability and progress toward their goal of black belt.

Happy Peak Week!
Here are a few things that are going on this week that you’ll want to know about!
1) Candidates need to turn in their Belt Promotion Forms no later than Tuesday, January 22!
2) Belt Promotion is this Friday, January 25 at 7:00 for Li’l Champions and Juniors. Adults - your ceremony will be held Thursday, January 24 at the 7:30 class.
3) Team SCS Starts this Sunday, January 27 at Garrett Park. Bring your basketball and tennis rackets and balls for a great time! We will start at 2:00 and end at 3:00 - ish. The whole family is invited to come play!
4) The new newsletter is online and we will be handing them out during classes this week! Be sure to note the upcoming events. BBC Members! This month’s class will be Nunchakus! We will be selling the foam nunchakus for $3.00 each. Please place your order no later than February 1 to be sure you will have your’s for BBC Night!

Hello everyone! We have a lot of announcements this week and want to make sure you’re up to date on all of them!
- We collected 255 pounds of food for Ecumenical Ministries. They were truly grateful and thanked everyone for their support.
- SCS T-Shirts are in! If you preordered one, please see Ms. Crissi.
- Toys for Tots is still going strong. The deadline is December 13.
- Calendar Updates!
- Next week is Spotlight Week. If you are eligible and have not received your Promotion Form, please see Ms. Crissi.
- We will be open December 6 through 8.
- We will be CLOSED December 20 through January 1. We will be open January 2, 2008! The earlier date is due to Mr. Boyer’s surgery.
- BBC Night this Friday, November 30!
- SWAT Meeting Saturday at 9:00 am.
- Christmas Parade is Saturday.
- What to Wear: Gi pants and belt with your SCS T-Shirt. Can be new one or old one. If it’s cold, please wear a long sleeved turtle neck underneath your t-shirt.
- What to Bring: Please bring any beads or small toys you might have to throw. You may also throw candy.
- Where to Be: We will be decorating the float at SCS Saturday from 12 to 2. The parade begins at 6:30. We must line up by 5:30. Please arrive at the high school no later than 6:00.
- What to Do: Little ones will be riding on the float. Mr. Roy Weeks has donated his truck and trailer (he’ll be driving) for the event. Thank you Roy for your kindness and generosity!
Christmas Party and Belt Promotion Ceremony - Friday, December 14 - 6:30 pm - Knights of Columbus Building at St. Patrick’s Church.
- Please sign up at the front desk to bring a dish to pass.
- Demo Team Sign Ups at Front Desk - first practice this Friday (Nov 30) at 5:00!
Good Deed Contest ends December 13! Only two weeks left to get your good deeds done!

Alert! Due to Mr. Boyer’s upcoming surgery for his knee on December 20, we have some calendar updates.
Upcoming Events (those with changes are marked with a *)
Friday, November 30 - BBC Night - Topic: Holiday Fun
Juniors 6:00, Adults 7:00
Saturday, December 1
9 am - SWAT Meeting
12 pm - 2 pm - Christmas Parade Float Decorating
5:00 - 5:30 pm - Meet at Robertsdale High School for Christmas Parade
Little ones will ride on the float, others will walk.
*Monday, December 3 through Saturday, December 8 - Spotlight Week
Students that are eligible for promotion must attend both an “A” and a “B” Day to be considered for promotion. Being eligible does not necessarily mean that you will be promoted. You will be notified by Saturday, December 8 should it be in your best interest to wait to be promoted until January.
*SCS Will be Open December 6 through 8. We had previously been scheduled as Closed for Training.
Friday, December 14 - Christmas Party and Belt Promotion Ceremony - 6:30 pm All Ages
Will be held at the Knights of Columbus Building at St. Patrick’s Church in Robertsdale. Click for directions. All candidates will have their ceremony at the same time. Sign up sheets for the Christmas Party will be out the week of November 26. Please sign up to bring a dish to pass.
