Juniors will be receiving an “Attitude of Gratitude” worksheet to take home. The goal is to show a Champion level of gratitude and have mom or dad write about it and turn it in next week. The first 20 who turn it in will receive a karate bracelet. We will also post them on a bulletin board to show others the Champion Level of Gratitude our students have!
Next week is also Team T-Shirt week. Wear any SCS T-shirt, tucked in, with your gi pants and belt to class next week!
There will be no classes Thursday, December 4 due to the Daphne Christmas Parade. We will meet at 5:00 pm at the Daphne Elementary North at 5:00 pm across from FastTime Gas Station on Main Street in Daphne.
Demo Team A will practice on Friday, December 5 at 5:00 pm.

The Robertsdale Parade is Saturday, December 6 at 6:30 pm. We will meet at Robertsdale High School (Fairgrounds Road Parking Lot - across from Willy T’s)!
The next week, December 8-12 is Spotlight Week for December Candidates.

This Week at SCS November 10 through 16
November 10, 2008 by Ms.Crissi.
Dear Friends,
I hope this week finds you feeling well and looking forward to a new and exciting week! This is spotlight week! If your name is on the list for promotion, you will be tested during class this week! You must attend an “A” day and a “B” day! Be prepared for your testing…PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!
Don’t forget, there’s NO CLASSES THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY as we will be closed for the International Martial Arts Convention in Nashville, TN! I’ll blog from there with photos!
Last week we had an awesome BBC Night filled with fun XMA drills for the kids and MMA for the adults!
We also had our holiday sale at which many people enjoyed 20% off for Christmas gifts! We have new t-shirts, long sleeved t’s and hoodies in stock so get yours now for the parade season. Everyone will need to wear an SCS shirt with gi pants for the parades this year!
Don’t forget our annual Toys for Tots campaign! This year in addition to the new, unwrapped toys we will be collecting, we have a small tree that we are decorating for them to auction off in December. The money from the auction will be used to purchase additional toys for the Toys for Tots program. If anyone has anything they’d like to donate to add to the tree, please bring it in. Donations could be a gift certificate from your business, something you make, like soaps or lotions, candles, etc. or anything that will make our tree more desireable! This will be a fun and rewarding project if everyone gets involved!
Next week is Belt Promotion Ceremony on the 21st. We will have Demo Team practice that night at 5:00. Photo day is the 22nd! Sign up to reserve your photo time!
Thanks everyone and have an amazing week!

SCS & Friends Christmas Tree for Silent Auction to Benefit Toys for Tots
November 4, 2008 by Ms.Crissi.
Dear Friends,
As always, we do a benefit for Toys for Tots during the holiday season.
This year, in addition to welcoming the new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots, they have a new program. This is a Christmas Tree Silent Auction program. They have donated a small Christmas tree, which will be located at our Daphne dojo (and we’ll keep Robertsdale updated with photos)! SCS will decorate the tree with our logo and different items. Under the tree, we will offer an enrollment package with a target, etc. What we’d like to do, is ask everyone who owns a business to donate something to make our tree more valuable. We will then add your name or logo to our tree. The trees will be auctioned off at Bel Air Mall on December 12th. The money that is raised from the trees will then be used to purchase additional toys for the Toys for Tots program.
Please bring your donation for the Toys for Tots Tree to SCS by December 3. Let’s make this year a great one for Toys for Tots!
Also, a reminder for everyone who is ordering photos! If you bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots on photo day, you will get a chance to play our Plinko game to win additional points that you can add to your photo order!
We wish everyone a blessed and wonderful holiday season.
Osu!
